Today I Take a Stand: Becoming a Full-Time Human Rights Advocate

Today, 26 July 2017, I am officially announcing a decision that will shape my life and, I hope, inspire many others: I am dedicating myself to being a full-time human rights advocate and educator.

Today marks a new chapter. From this moment onward, every action I take, every project I undertake, and every initiative I lead will be guided by one mission: to ensure that human rights are known, understood, and respected by everyone, especially young people.

Human rights are not abstract. They are the principles that protect our freedom, dignity and opportunities. They are what allow you to go to school safely, speak your mind, pursue your dreams and participate fully in society. Yet, many young people still do not know these rights exist or how to claim them. That is why I am stepping forward.

And here is the exciting part: You can be part of this journey. You, yes you, have the power to become a human rights advocate in your own community. You do not need a title, a degree, or a platform to start. All you need is passion, awareness and the willingness to act.

Being an advocate can take many forms:

1. Educate your friends and peers about their rights.
2. Speak up against injustice whenever you see it.
3. Support initiatives that protect vulnerable groups in your community.
4. Share knowledge through blogs, social media, or local workshops.

Each small action contributes to a bigger movement. Young people can create communities where everyone is aware of their rights and empowered to protect them.

Today is not just about my decision. It is an invitation. Join me, step forward, and become a champion for human rights. Whether you are a student, a professional, or simply someone passionate about justice, your voice matters, your actions matter and your commitment can make a difference.

Let us rise as a generation that not only knows its rights but also defends and promotes them peacefully, powerfully and persistently.

The Great African Exposure Visit-My Journey 'Tyrone Havnar'`

Many young people's, learning is trapped within classroom walls, blocked by poverty, isolation, or lack of opportunity. Imagine how many dreams that NEVER saw the light of day because one child failed to attend school.  Zimbabwe-Where it began I founded I Reach Out My Hand Africa (IROMHA)  in 2009, thats over 14 years ago, and for all those years I have been its backbone, carrying it forward, funding it out of my own pocket and refusing to let the vision die. This work is never just a project for me; it was born from my own scars. As a child, I knew what it meant to sit at home because school fees was not paid. I knew the sting of being bright but blocked by poverty. I knew what it felt like to watch opportunities slip away simply because of circumstances beyond my control. That pain shaped me. It planted a fire in me to make sure that other children would not have to face the same struggles I did. The vision was always simple, yet powerful: Keep children in school by breaking...

Responsible Leadership

Leaders are everywhere At all corners of the globe, in all types of organizations, doing all types of work.  Anyone who seeks to make the world a better place is a leader. Leaders are those who seek to make change. In politics, in business or society, leaders always find themselves at the heart of change. Leaders help people, organizations and societies navigate this change and help people find a better way to do things. One popular myth about leadership is that leaders are only the ones sitting at the top of an organization, but NO, a  CEO of a major company, the president of a nation or a champion leading social change. These are all leaders, but you don’t have to have a formal title or role to be a leader. Leaders are those people who are able to influence others towards reaching a goal, completing a mission or creating new ideas. Leaders are people who institute change, influence a situation or can bring creative problem solving to existing problems. In...
